I need you to know that I woke up last Tuesday in a hotel room in Charlotte, North Carolina. I was in town for my first book event, but it was Pub Day, and All the Summers in Between was officially out in the world that morning. I opened up my Instagram account to post about my excitement and what did I see? A post from Elin Hilderbrand. ABOUT MY BOOK.
I teared up. Literally. Here’s why. There are three writers who I read for many years before I became an author, each one of them inspiring me to write the kinds of books I do. One is Beatriz Williams. One is Fiona Davis. And one is Elin Hilderbrand. Elin’s latest novel, Swan Song, doesn’t disappoint, and it’s out TODAY!
To see all three of these women posting about my book on pub day, beginning with Elin, was an absolute dream come true, and it didn’t stop with these authors. There were so many other newer friends and favorites cheering me on: Nancy Thayer and Mary Kay Andrews, and the entire
crew who I adore. My June 4th author buddies: Jane Rosen, Annabel Monaghan, Susie Orman Schnall and Julie Satow. There were my historical fiction buddies like , Madeline Martin, , Erika Robuck, Meredith Jaeger, Allison Pataki and Natalie Jenner. There was my Westchester author crew, and there were dozens upon dozens of bookstagrammers cheering my book on, too. It was unreal! I’m going to write more about my book tour next week, but first…the news….More BIG NEWS. PLUS, I NEED YOUR VOTE!
We received word today that All the Summers in Between is a CBS Book Club Finalist, meaning CBS picks three summer books it wants to highlight as great summer reads. To be the official June pick, you need to get enough votes to win the slot! Then you get to be on CBS News (oh my goodness!) in New York and talk all about your book. I’m so grateful and honored and excited. If someone would have told me when I started writing novels that one might someday be featured on CBS News, I wouldn’t have believed them. It’s that astounding to me.
I found out the news a week ago but it had to be super top secret until today. But now I can shout it from the rooftops and ask people to support me. Would you consider clicking this link and voting for All the Summers in Between? You can vote as many times as you want!! It would be an absolute coup if I could get my hands in the books of more readers. Because this is why writers write…to share our stories. And I want to share my book with more of you!
Here’s another chance to vote! At the top of the page, it says: “Click here to Vote.”
I got you! 🫂
Voted. I really loved this book so much. Margot & Thea will stay with me maybe for forever. 5 stars.
