I am a middle school ELA teacher, and after two years in my class, several students have expressed interest in becoming writers. One student is working on a manuscript. I am wondering about what resources would be appropriate for the 13-18-year-old age group.
Hmm. A summer camp might be a really good place to learn more about writing. There are also a lot of precollege programs at many universities that allow teens to enroll in creative writing classes. I think connecting with other young writers would be great for them. Also, maybe start a writing club at school and they can share their work and give positive pointers?
