Black Cake is one of my all time favorites. I will never forget reading it on vacation and the feeling of just falling head over heels in love with it.

I read Black Cake when it first came out and loved it! I even ordered a black cake from a baker in FL to serve during my book club’s discussion of the book. Over the weekend, I watched the film adaptation and it was wonderful, I highly recommend it! Enjoy your vacation - I haven’t yet read any of the books you’re talking along.
I loved the black cake, it was very delicious! Dense with lots of boozy fruit & spices. There was an interview on a podcast (Radio Cherry Bombe) with the baker who made the black cakes for the Hulu series, it was really fascinating.
