I think I would be more likely to pick up a book I saw a certain celebrity recommend... I will admit that Reese's Book Club has sold me a few books. But she's smartly made books a part of her brand so I wouldn't be inclined to pick up a book that, say, Kim Kardashian randomly posted about (but has she ever posted a book aside from her selfies thing??)
I suspect a lot of celebrities just don't read. I know that in the world of optioning books-to-film, producers often read ABOUT the book or skim it rather than actually reading the book.
I love that SJP is launching a book imprint! (And yet, that photo she posted is hilariously confusing. It's like, wait, SJP has no comfy chairs or couches and must read books while lying on a hardwood floor.)
I think there are a decent amount of celebrity book recommendations but agree they're a bit harder to find. They're not running full on bookstagram-worthy Instagram feeds or anything! Emma Watson, Harry Styles, Natalie Portman, Emma Chamberlain, Phoebe Bridgers, and Taylor Swift often leave little book breadcrumbs in their posts. It may be generational too. And no, I definitely wouldn't read an Olivia Wilde book pick!

I know Patrick Stewart is and avid book reader, as well as Hugh Jackman.
